Renewed Reviews is a student run initiative that collects, refurbishes, and distributes test review books (e.g. AP Exam, PSAT, SAT, ACT, Regents Review, etc.) for the benefit of students and the environment. Over 320 million textbooks and prep books are thrown away each year (National Wildlife Federation), and most go unused. These books should not be thrown away but rather donated and put to good use. Therefore, we started this organization to send out free test prep books.
Most of the books are donated to local Long Island and NYC libraries! Email to get specific books.
Email us at renewed.reviews.shsw@gmail.com & tell us what books/monetary donations you plan to donate! We are still growing and will be happy to receive as many donations as possible.
About Us: Co-Founders
As a student and tutor, I understand the intense academic rigors that testing creates. Later, while staring at a pile of AP exam prep books, I felt a strong desire to formulate an initiative focused primarily on renewing and donating test prep materials—especially since the content of these $20–$40 books, which are still valuable and unread, is often discarded as though they are only intended for one use. Additionally, as a high school student myself, I understand the importance of having a reliable guide to help every step of the way. That’s why it has become my personal mission, along with Jordan, to do our part and help our peers.
As a high school junior, I know all about the pressure and stress that is associated with AP Exams and NYS Regents. When Nicole came to me with this wonderful idea, I was enthusiastic. I knew how much having accessible study materials helped me achieve my personal best scores for these important exams. And when I came to learn that a large percentage of kids didn't have access to these books that helped and guided me so much, it broke my heart. I decided to make it my personal mission, along with Nicole, to do my part and help out in any way that I can.
